Alliance Consumer Growth, the private equity firm that has made past investments in food and beverage companies including Suja Juice and Barkthins, has made an investment of an undisclosed amount in Live Better Brands, the maker of Way Better Snacks.

The capital will be used by Live Better to expand its distribution network to nationwide, support product development, and increase its capital allocation to marketing.

Founded in 2001, Way Better Snacks, which produces tortilla chips and crackers, has grown to become a leader in the premium snacks space.

“We are very excited to partner with A.C.G. to take our business to the next level,” said Jim Breen, founder and chief executive officer of Way Better Snacks. “We believe A.C.G.’s expertise, particularly in targeting health-minded consumers who demand more out of their snack foods, will be very valuable as we look to accelerate our growth and further develop our brand.”
