One of Western Australia’s largest grain growers, John Nicoletti, has placed a portfolio of six properties totaling 68,000 hectares of grain farmland on the market through the real estate firm, CBRE, with a goal of securing a purchase price of $60 million. The properties were flagged with potential buyers in mid-December, and Danny Thomas, director of agribusiness with CBRE states he will be accepting expressions of interest with non-binding offers. In 2013 Mr. Nicoletti listed his Mullewa property, Daisy Downs, for sale for $11 million and despite talks with various buyers, including overseas buyers, a sale did not materialize. Daisy Downs remains on the market for $7 million. All offers received will go through a stortlisting process prior to a sale, which is expected to occur by the end of March.
