In response to ballooning interest spurred by the financial crisis, Global AgInvesting launches the first investors’ conference focused on the growing market for farmland investment.
The flagship program doubles in attendee size (and doubles again the following year, becoming the world's most well attended agriculture investment conference), with an expanded focus on investing across the entire value chain, filling a void in the market to understand investing needs to meet the overwhelming growth in global demand.
Between 2011 and 2015, Global AgInvesting expands to include landmark events in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, as well as AgTech Nexus, to allow current allocators, farm and fund managers to connect around specific regional concerns, including sustainability and food security, efficiency, while assessing agriculture/agtech as a viable, rapidly growing asset class.
According to the inaugural report created by HighQuest Partners, AUM in the global F&A sector totaled more than $131 billion in 2019.
