Three properties located in New South Wales totaling 3,870 hectares will be auctioned by Elders next month, reports The Weekly Times. The properties, which are all owned by CH Proteheroe Pty Ltd. have grown various irrigated crops including cotton, sorghum, canola, wheat, barley, and maize, while dryland crops have focused on wheat, canola and barley.
“This is good, solid Riverina country, which can easily do cropping or grazing sheep or cattle,” Elders selling agent, Bob Wheeler told The Weekly Times. “Add to this a 17.5 inch rainfall (437mm) and there is potential here.”
The first 1,408 hectare property is divided into twelve main paddocks, and water is accessed through a system of troughs and dams from the Birrego pipe scheme. There is also a set of steel cattle yards on the property. The second lot consists of 1,311 hectares for grazing, and includes timber including pine, box, and Kurrajong trees. This property includes 240 arable acres, an 11-stand shearing shed, and steel sheep yards with water accessed through the Birrego pipe scheme. The third lot consists of 1,143 hectares of lnd including two bore allocations totaling 1,347 megaliters.
