Mr. Freeman has been with Paine & Partners since inception and previously was with the Predecessor Firm. Prior to joining the Predecessor Firm, Mr. Freeman worked for the private equity firm Fremont Partners, where he assisted with the investment of approximately $1.7 billion of funds under management. At Fremont, Mr. Freeman evaluated, structured, negotiated, monitored and harvested investments in the food and consumer products, building products, and business services industries. Mr. Freeman began his career at Westbrook Partners, a real estate focused firm with approximately $10 billion of assets under management. Mr. Freeman serves on the boards of directors of Scanbio Marine Group Holdings (Norway) AS, Capital Z
Asset Management, LLC, Cevian Capital, Specialty Waste Partners, Inc. (formerly known as R360 Environmental Solutions, Inc.) and WireCo WorldGroup (Cayman) Inc. He is a graduate of Duke University (Bachelor of Arts in history and economics, cum laude) and the Stanford University Graduate School of Business, and was raised in Miami, Florida.
