David Gray is an independent advisor to food and agribusinesses globally, having previously spent over 12 years with Altima Partners LLP in London. David worked principally on illiquid investments for funds managed by Altima, and since 2007 had specific responsibility for illiquid investments in the agriculture sector totaling almost $600 million and located on four continents. He successfully sold three of these investments between 2015 and 2016. David joined Altima in 2005 after almost 25 years as an investment banker, during which he advised, raised capital for and restructured companies across a number of industrial sectors globally. In addition to his advisory work for Altima, David serves on the board of AAG, a leading Australian agriculture asset manager and advises companies across the ag sector. Most recently David acted as an advisor to the Board of Plant Impact plc in its was successfully sold to Croda Europe Ltd in March, 2018. He has an M.A. (Hons) from Oxford University and completed the Executive Program at the Darden Graduate School of Business, University of Virginia.
