Tim Noonan is a Managing Director at Proterra Investment Partners, where he leads the firm’s food and agribusiness investment activity in Sub-Saharan Africa and manages a London-based team. Prior to the spin-out of Proterra, Mr. Noonan held the same position at Black River Asset Management, a division of Cargill. Before joining Black River, Mr. Noonan was based in Abu Dhabi as a Senior Vice President with Gulf Capital, one of the largest alternative investment firms focused on emerging markets in the Middle East and Africa. Previously, Mr. Noonan was a Vice President with Oryx Capital, a private equity firm with offices in the United States and Saudi Arabia. Throughout his nearly 15 years of private equity experience, Mr. Noonan has led or participated in acquisitions, divestitures, or equity investments across five continents. He began his career as an investment banking analyst in the Mergers & Acquisitions Group of Merrill Lynch & Co.
