As the Australian wine industry is on the verge of a significant recovery, speculation is mounting of a serious bidder for Treasury Wine Estates which owns some of Australia’s most famous wine labels. In the past 18 months Chinese entities have bought Gemtree and Stonehaven wineries in South Australia and Ferngrove in West Australia.
