Israeli venture capital firm, Pontifax, is raising $100 million for the creation of its new agtech fund, Pontifax AgTech, according to a report by Calcalist.
The new fund is expected to allocate investments to agricultural and food technology startups in both Israel and the U.S., and is expected to close financing for the fund in March 2016, according to reports.
Pontifax AgTech will operate in conjunction with Pontifax’ other venture capital funds, particularly its fund investing in biotechnology startups.
Pontifax was founded by Ran Nussbaum and Tomer Kariv in 2004.
