The Angolan company, Novagrolider, announced it is investing US$15 million to establish a processing site in the Province of Cuanza Sul in Angola that will process dairy, meat, fruit, vegetable, and flower products, according to Angola Today.
The company signed an investment contract in Luanda with the Technical Unit for Private Investment (UTIP) indicating that the funds will be used to purchase machinery and equipment, and for the establishment of infrastructure for the agro-farming and processing project, reports the World News Times.
The Novagrolider group, which is the largest banana producer in Angola, controls several farms across the country, and saw a harvest of 50,000 tons of agricultural products in 2014 – primarily bananas, pineapple, mango, cabbage and potatoes.
