Cargill has announced it has entered into an equal partnership joint venture with Concord Grains LLC, solely owned by farmer Todd Ochsner, to operate a grain elevator in South Dakota with a storage capacity of 2.5 million bushels of grain on rail tracks owned by BNSF Railway Co. The newly built elevator has the ability to load 110 rail car shuttle trains in a strategic location that will help supply export facilities in the Pacific Northwest that primarily ship to Asia. This is Cargill’s first partnership with an individual farmer.
