Based in Jilin (China), Hon Mun is the CEO of Sino-Singapore Jilin Food Zone Development and Management Corporation – a Joint Venture between Ascendas-Singbridge and Jilin City Government focusing on producing food that is safe to consume and farmed in a sustainable and environmentally manner. The Food Zone is the first private sector and Sino-Singapore government collaboration on Food Investment, Trading, Food Safety Management & Product Brand Building. The food zone focuses on Agriculture, Aquaculture, Dairy, Animal Protein and Traditional Chinese Medicine and Health Supplement.

Hon Mun has a record of successes in turn-around, recovery efforts and managing growth for the shareholders. In addition to agriculture, his experience extends across industries including Telecom, Media, IT and Investment. Prior to his current position, he is the President of Thaicom (China Operation) – Asia leading Satellite service provider and the Corporate Vice President at Thailand largest Mobile Operator AIS. He held several senior management and leadership roles at Microsoft, Nokia, Alltel and Motorola and had lived in Hong Kong, Bangkok, Beijing and Singapore. He is also a member of the board of Sino-Singapore Jilin Food Zone and North Star Food Trading.

HonMun graduated with both Master’s and Bachelor’s Degrees in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University (West Lafayette) USA and a Graduate Diploma in Marketing Management from Singapore Institute of Management.
