Jacob Carter is the Founder & Managing Member of Tellus. He was the Director of Investments at Linden Global Strategies, a New York City-based firm with $3 billion of assets under management. In 2011, he helped launch that business by building the investment platform and overseeing all direct investments. Until 2011, Mr. Carter was an investor with a large single-family office based in New York. Previously, he held positions with investment teams at Morgan Stanley in New York and Merrill Lynch’s Private Banking and Investment Group in Los Angeles. Throughout market cycles, Mr. Carter has identified and executed significant investments across capital structures, strategies, and asset classes.

He is an Adjunct Professor of Economics at Brigham Young University, a member of The Economic Club of New York, and a fly fisherman. Mr. Carter received his MS from the London School of Economics and Political Science. He resides in Salt Lake City with his wife, Dr. Mary Eyring.
