He has worked extensively throughout the world representing many well-known industry identities such as Rain Bird, Netafim and Lindsay Corporation. He has used his expertise to build distribution channels, teach and train local stakeholders, and deliver efficient agricultural irrigation projects on time and on budget. He has delivered irrigation solutions in Australia, South East Asia, China, Central and Southern Africa, Middle East, USA, Latin America, Canada, Western Europe, Kazakhstan and Russia. John Atkinson has been cited by the Irrigation Association, Science Monitor, The Land, Irrigation Farmer, Wall Street Journal and Sydney Morning Herald for his insightful understanding of global irrigation development and food production. Born in Sydney, Australia, John graduated from the Murrumbidgee College of Agriculture, New South Wales, where he studied irrigation and farm management.
