John Johnson is the Chief Operating Officer for the National Pork Board in Des Moines, Iowa.  He is responsible for providing strategic support in all program areas to the Chief Executive Officer, overseeing strategic planning, organizational goal-setting and accountability metrics and facilitates cross-departmental coordination. Johnson also is responsible for directing high-level, cross-functional projects that require engagement and direction from the Officers, Board of Directors and/or the senior management team.  He serves as a key member of the leadership team and provides strategic insight and management of various Pork Checkoff related issues.
