Rafal Golebiowski is IFC’s Chief Investment Officer for Agribusiness and Forestry in Eastern Europe. Based in Moscow, Rafal leads IFC’s $1.4 billion investment program in a broad range of agribusiness companies in the region engaged in production and processing of animal protein, grain and oil seeds, as well as horticulture and commodity trading.
Over his two decades of experience investing in emerging markets in Eastern Europe, Rafal has specialized in manufacturing and telecommunications companies, in addition to agribusiness. He joined IFC in 1995, when he became IFC’s advisor to several Russian regional governments on the Agricultural Land Privatization Program.
Rafal received his Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School. He also received Master of Law and Diplomacy from the Tufts University Fletcher School.
Rafal resides in Moscow with his wife and three children. He speaks English, Polish, and Russian.
