Mr. Lin is a Managing Director for Proterra Investment Partners where he directs Proterra’s food investments in China and also oversees Proterra’s current investment portfolio across South East Asia.

Prior to Proterra, Mr. Lin served as a Managing Director for Black River Asset Management, a division of Cargill, where he focused on food sector investments. Mr. Lin joined Black River from Credit Suisse First Boston. He spent multiple years in M&A investment banking in London, Hong Kong and New York. During this time he worked on various cross-border corporate finance and capital market transactions involving Asian markets and Chinese companies. Mr. Lin is currently helping the World Food Center of UC Davis’ establish the Asian Council as a Founding Member.

Mr. Lin holds a Master’s degree in Business & Finance from the Vienna University of Economics in Austria. He is a CFA Charterholder. Mr. Lin speaks English, German and Chinese.
