Thomas Hyland is a co-founder of Aspada, an early-stage venture capital fund in India and one of the country’s most active early stage investors in agricultural supply chains and logistics. Aspada has built an extensive portfolio of fresh produce value chain companies focused on specific fruits and vegetables, such as LEAF (carrots), InI Farms (pomegranates, bananas, and pineapples), AllFresh (apples and citrus), and SV Agri (potatoes). In addition, the company has investments in F&V distribution firm Waycool, cold-chain transportation firm Schedulers Logistics, agricultural lender Arya Finance, and shared mechanized services firm EM3. Structured as a holding company, Aspada is anchored with a significant commitment from the Soros Economic Development Fund.
