Increased Production Costs in China Will Keep Pork Prices High This Year, And Expect More Food Price Volatility Overall, Says

 

The following article is an interview with Jean-Yves Chow of Rabobank.  Mr. Chow states that increased production costs such as the price of coal, the cost of labor, and fragmented supply will keep pork prices high this year and add to overall price volatility in the food sector.  And depending on how the price of pork fluctuates quarter three and quarter four could see food price inflation issues.
