Ingham’s Assets for Sale

Ingham’s Assets for Sale

The assets of Ingham’s, Australia’s largest integrated poultry company are being offered in a sale and leaseback agreement through two separate portfolios.  The Industrial portfolio will include processing plants, feedmills, and hatcheries and is expected to represent approximately 75% of the total sale.  Breeder farms make up the Agricultural/Rural portfolio which is expected to attract attention from more specialized agribusiness funds.  The properties in both portfolios reach across Australia and New Zealand and will be offered on 20 year lease terms with five further 10 years options.  The sale of the two portfolios will make capital available to the company for investment into growing the business.  A possible sale price has not been released however, private equity firm TPG which owns Ingham’s Enterprises were seeking $650 million for reinvestment. Expressions of interest in both portfolios close on April 15th.
