Integrated Ag LP Launches Integrated Ag Labs Designed to Test New Ag Technologies

August 4, 2015

Scottsdale, Arizona-based agricultural private equity fund manager, Integrated Ag LP has announced the launch of its new Integrated Ag Labs program.

The program has been created to test new agricultural technologies and foster new innovations that will advance farm practices, lower production costs, increase yields, conserve natural resources, and improve plant health.

Currently, the firm is testing technologies that can affect water chemistry, alternative fertilizer blends, soil chemistry, field sensor technologies, and plant nutrient uptake. The first system to ‘graduate’ from the Ag Labs program to be deployed across the firm’s farm portfolio, is a proprietary fertilizer generator system that combines select beneficial bacteria and enzymes that improve a plant’s roots and tissues, soil health, and can decrease the farmer’s reliance upon commercial chemical fertilizers.

“…the program is allowing our firm to attract the most talented managers in the industry who want to be a part of our dynamic farm portfolio ecosystem,”stated Integrated Ag Labs Program Director Michael Timony. “Ultimately, we are finding ways to generate superior returns that outperform our peers through increased direct farming operating cash flows.”

Integrated Ag LP specializes in the rehabilitation of underutilized or distressed farmland through the use of sustainable practices in the southwest region of the U.S. The firm manages an institutional-quality farmland portfolio that can deliver both short-term cash returns and long term appreciation.
