A new £8 million venture capital fund has been created to fund and support agricultural innovation within the UK agricultural sector. The fund, called the Agri-Innovation Venture Capital Fund has been launched through a joint effort between Adapt Low Carbon Group and Japan-based Tsukuba Technology Seed Co. and various SMEs throughout the ag industry. The fund will be investing in businesses involved in precision farming, pest control, improving agricultural water and energy efficiency, and improving farm management in order to address environmental degradation, poverty, and obesity.
