Ospraie Ag Science has returned to back St. Louis-based digital ag company IN10T (Intent) to fund the expansion of the startup’s ability to provide innovative on-farm solutions, through its technology, commercialization, and trials.

Founded in 2016 by Randy Barker and Kevin Heikes, IN10T is focused on accelerating the adoption of emerging ag innovations through four key solution areas: its INvision platform – a customizable technology solution offering well-timed, quality data across all aspects of performance in a single web-based interface; product performance; farmer experience; and commercialization strategy.

“Our comprehensive, digitally focused approach helps our clients build the most successful path towards sustainable commercial success,” said Randall Barker, CEO and co-founder, IN10T.

The return of Ospraie for a second-round investment points to IN10T’s strong business model, and positions Ospraie as a key stakeholder and a member of IN10T’s Board of Directors.

“This partnership with OAS will allow us to accelerate our technical innovation through the INvision platform,” noted Barker. “We are excited to deliver solutions for ag businesses, farmers and investors by integrating vast amounts of agricultural data and on-farm farmer experiences to analyze and predict adoption outcomes.”

Last year the company announced the development of its proprietary platform INvision, a tech solution for customers in agriculture and those investing in agriculture that delivers consistent, quality data insights, giving clients field trial performance data including map-based field selection, agronomic practices, analytical insights, and more.

And in only three years, IN10T has established a global testing network of more than 1,500 farmers through FarmerTrials.com where growers are paid to test the adoption of innovations and new technologies.

Through its team of 25 with a combined 500 years of ag experience in R&D, IT, marketing, product management, strategy, M&As, startups, and operations, IN10T uses productivity science, data analytics  and the latest science to serve ag companies and farmers around the world.

It is this rapid growth in contract field testing and marketing support for new technologies in advanced ag production that Ospraie points to as a driver behind their continued financial support for the company.

“Our relationship with IN10T is a natural extension of our Ospraie Ag Science network,” said Dwight Anderson, founder, Ospraie Management. “We are excited to partner in their growth, especially at a time when so many farmers, investors and ag companies need this expertise. Our early-stage ag tech partners can greatly benefit from IN10T’s resources in testing and marketing their products.”
