Post Buying Dakota Growers Pasta Co. From Viterra

St. Louis-based Post Holdings Inc. announced it is buying North Dakota-based Dakota Growers Pasta Co. Inc. from Viterra for $370 million. Post makes cereals such as Grape Nuts, Great Grains, and Honeycombs and with this purchase continues the expansion of its food offerings.  In May Post acquired Hearthside Food Solutions and in August acquired Premier Nutrition Corp. The purchase of Dakota Growers which will use cash on hand and up to $200 million in debt financing is expected to close in January and is expected to increase Post’s revenues by $300 million.
