Treefera Raises $30M Series B to Scale AI-Driven ‘First-Mile’ Transparency in Agriculture

Defying boundaries, one agtech startup—London-based Treefera—is rapidly emerging as a critical link between regenerative farming and global supply chain transparency. The company, which specializes in AI-enabled data fabric for supply chain resilience, has just secured $30 million in Series B funding. Led by Notion Capital, the latest round also extended to existing backers Albion VC, Triple Point and Twin Path Ventures in addition to Endeit Capital, a newcomer to the investor lineup. Proceeds will be directed toward product development and global expansion across North America, Asia Pacific and Europe.

Additionally, capital will support deeper integration of geospatial analytics, real-time monitoring and reporting tools tailored to the regulatory and sourcing needs of agriculture, forestry and food systems. The raise comes less than a year after Treefera’s Series A, signaling continued investor confidence in climate-tech platforms focused on the so-called ‘first mile’ of agricultural supply chains—the initial stage where raw commodities are produced, often on smallholder farms or decentralized operations, and where data is hardest to capture and verify.

Founded in 2022 by Jonathan Horn and Caroline Grey, alum of JPMorgan and UiPath, Treefera offers real-time insights into early-stage commodity sourcing. The company’s AI-powered platform weaves together satellite imagery, drone data, carbon metrics and land registry details to help large enterprises navigate climate risk, traceability and sustainability compliance.

“Our world runs on nature-based commodities, yet information on the physical source of these assets remains largely invisible to the systems that depend on them,” said Treefera Founder and CEO Jonathan Horn. “Data informs the flow of capital, and at Treefera we equip enterprises with the clarity to strengthen supply chain resilience, secure future revenue and scale the upside of regenerative practices.”

Horn further explained that the way Treefera does this is by delivering real-time, verifiable data from the earliest stages of the supply chain, giving businesses greater visibility into where and how raw materials are produced, while helping them manage risk, meet regulatory demands, and scale sustainability outcomes.

Notion Capital General Partner Patrick Norris commented, “Treefera’s team has built a category-defining platform at the intersection of AI, data and supply chain transparency. In less than a year, Treefera has established itself as the trusted partner for enterprises navigating supply chain risks and carbon obligations. We are thrilled to be leading this round and support their vision to make resilient, decarbonized supply chains the global standard, underpinned by an approach that champions efficiency without compromise.”

One of Treefera’s clients, Royal Family Farming, is a multi-generational regenerative farm headquartered in Royal City, Washington. By using Treefera’s AI-powered platform, the operation has moved beyond anecdotal observation to gain daily, data-rich insights into carbon loss and retention. This level of precision has enabled the team to fast-track blockchain-based carbon credit registration—from more than two years to just seven weeks—and deliver verified soil health metrics to Tier 1 buyers.

For agricultural investors, Treefera is a bet on the infrastructure that could tick compliance boxes amid emerging regulations, including the EU’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive as well as mounting pressure for deforestation-free sourcing requirements in the U.S. and abroad. As companies look to reduce risk in their sourcing and show real progress on climate goals, tools that offer upstream traceability and credible, audit-ready data are becoming thrust into the spotlight.

With fresh capital in hand and growing regulatory momentum, Treefera is positioned to scale its impact. For venture backers focused on climate-smart agriculture, the company offers a combination of proven technological expertise, commercial traction and relevance across multiple agri-value chains.
