Green & Grow Inc. the developer of the Agriplier bio-derived yield enhancement technology, has announced it has been selected by the Austin Chamber of Commerce through its Innovate Austin initiative, and its South by Southwest interactive, to the 2015 Austin A-List of Hottest Startups.
The twelve selected honoree companies were vetted by a panel of independent judges from more than 275 nominations. The selections were made from three investment stage categories – emerging, growth, and scale, from the big data, biotechnology, hardware, software, consumer packaged goods, agriculture, music technology, medical devices, and mobile app sectors.
GGI’s Agriplier technology is based on non-living, non-toxic microbe-derived applications that are designed to enhance soybean, corn, fruit, and vegetable crop yields, which can be added to seed treatments or as soil amendments without negative interactions. After three years of successful field trials, Green & Grow Inc. is now ready to begin the commercialization phase for Agriplier.
“As we enter our third year of Agriplier® field trials, building on consecutive years demonstrating yield increases on top of existing seed treatment packages, we are well positioned to take the next step in this process and select the right partners to work with to launch this technology in the market,” says Gregg Spivey, COO of Green & Grow Inc.
