Accolade Wine Gets $300 Million Finance Deal

Accolade Wines, the largest wine company by volume sold in Australia and the UK, has secured a US$300 million cross-border financing deal through GE Capital International.  This financing is in addition to its previous package of US$220 million in 2011.  Accolade is recapitalizing its balance sheet in order to fund the continued growth of the business.  Accolade Wines are distributed throughout 80 countries and include the brand names, Hardys, Banrock Station, Kumala, Echo Falls, and Geyser Peak.  The GE financing will be important to the company’s implementation of its strategy of being a full service New World wine entity with products in the value, mid-market, and premium segments of the market.
