Australian Grain Property Three Times the Size of DC for Sale

One of eastern Australia’s largest grain properties totaling 50,000 hectares (123,553 acres) was listed for sale on April 10th through the broker Ray White Group.  No price was listed for the property which is located near Bellata in New South Wales and is three times the size of Washington DC.  Companies and investors worldwide are seeking a foothold in Australian agriculture to either secure access to food supplies or to take advantage of the geographical proximity to the growing demand from Asian markets.  The property has been owned since 2008 by the grain-growing company Greentree Farming.
