Hancock Agricultural Investment Group (HAIG) has announced that Brett MacNeil has been named Vice Preside and Director of Acquisition effective immediately. Mr. MacNeil will be based in Boise, Idaho and will be leading HAIG’s farmland acquisitions including sourcing, due diligence, and strategic partnership opportunities both in the U.S. and abroad. Prior to joining HAIG, Mr. MacNeil was the head of the farm management company Scythe & Spade, and had worked at Southwest Agriculture Services and Farm Credit Services Southwest. Boston-based HAIG was founded in 1990 and is a division of Hancock Natural Resources Group Inc. which is a unit of Manulife Asset Management Private Markets. HAIG manages approximately 300,000 acres of both row and cropland valued at $2.1 billion in North America and Australia on behalf of institutional investors.
