Brief: Coonawarra Fresh Produce and its Assets Put on the Market

Coonawarra Fresh Produce (CFP) and its assets have been placed on the market by New Zealand agribusinessman, Alan Pye and his partner, David Gartner.

 

CFP is one of the biggest horticultural producers on the Limestone Coast of South Australia, boasting of 923 mostly contiguous hectares of potato and onion land, situated halfway between Adelaide and Melbourne, 980 megaliters of water entitlements for irrigation, packing sheds, cool storage facilities and four residences.

 

Mr. Pye is also 25% owner of Dairy Holdings which owns 50 farms and has 40,000 cows on more than 14,000 hectares of land. He also owns farms in Tasmania, including Rushy Lagoon, Tasmania’s largest dairy operation, vegetable processor, Zarella Holdings in South Australia, and Parilla Potatoes in the Murray Mallee region.
