Canada and Saskatchewan Invest in Farm and Ranch Water Infrastructure Program

In our first quarterly publication of the Global AgInvesting Quarterly, we explored the agricultural investment opportunities in Saskatchewan Canada.  This week federal and Saskatchewan government officials announced a CA$65 million investment into the Farm and Ranch Water Infrastructure Program (FRWIP) to help secure long-term, reliable, sources of water for farmers, ranchers, First Nation Bands and irrigation districts to help support their agriculture businesses and create more irrigated acres in Saskatchewan.  The program has now been enhanced to include a new component for agricultural business development for intensive livestock and horticultural operations as well as value-added agricultural businesses.
