Fonterra, the world’s largest dairy exporter will introduce its first baby formula across China as the company expands and seeks to regain customer confidence. The company began selling its Anmum brand infant milk powder in the city of Guangzhou and will start expanding across China within the next year. Within three year, the company plans to expand its presence to 70 Chinese cities. The expansion drive comes just months after Fonterra dealt with a botulism contamination scare of its whey protein used in baby formula which government tests found did not pose a food safety risk but which still shook consumer confidence.
