General Mills announced it has agreed to sell its Idaho grain elevator network to the Kansas-based private equity group Agspring. The sale includes facilities in Newdale, Blackfoot, American Falls, Rockford, Idaho Falls, Pocatello, and Schiller Siding. The deal is expected to close by the end of May however financial details of the deal have not be released. The sale will free General Mills to focus on other aspects of its supply chain and will add to Agspring’s geographic diversity. Agspring plans to enhance and upgrade the facilities where needed in order to maximize potential.
