Impact First Investments (IFI), Israel’s first investment firm focused on investing in local technology and innovative startups to create a positive social impact on a global scale, has announced an investment in Israeli agtech company, Catalyst AgTech.
Catalyst AgTech develops applications that can be applied to as much as 40% of active agrichemical ingredients, resulting in minimizing the environmental impact of these agrichemicals, allowing farmers to use the most effective crop treatments without damaging the environment.
IFI is the first Israeli investment firm that seeks investment opportunities in financially viable ventures that strive to achieve both capital and social gains – using the power of the private sector and the free market to increase sustainability while also benefiting society.
This investment by IFI will allow Catalyst AgTech to expand its research and development objectives, and accelerate its timeline to commercialization according to Shalom Nachshon, co-founder and chief executive officer of Catalyst AgTech.
“As the need for technologies that enable farmers to continue using effective, field-proven products in a way that minimizes the negative impact on the environment continues to increase, demand for products such as those being developed by Catalyst Agtech will dramatically rise,” said Cecile Blilious, co-founder and managing partner of IFI.
