Private equity sponsor, NGP Global Agribusiness Partners, has invested US$40 million in Brazil’s Campo Rico Fertilizers S.A.

 

Launched in 2014, and with a headquarters in São Paulo, Campo Rico is a producer of NPK-based fertilizer formulations, and a principal fertilizer importer at the port of Santarém. Through blending facilities in Almirante Tamandaré, Rondonopolis, and Santarém, the company focuses on distribution to underserved farmers in regions in northern Brazil.

 

The new capital will be used by Campo Rico to add production capacity in the north of the country and for expanding its reach into newly identified, underserved Brazilian market regions in need of development.
