Standard Chartered Private Equity (SCPE) has acquired a significant minority stake in An Giang Plant Protection Joint Stock Co. (AGPPS), Vietnam’s largest distributor of crop protection chemicals and largest distributor or rice seeds for US$90 million. AGPPS is also a growing aggregator and processor of rice in the country.
