Conab, Brazil’s forecasting agency announced that Brazil’s soybean output will reach 82.7 million tons in 2013 – an increase of 25% over last year. In 2012 the U.S. produced 80.46 million tons. The expectation of a record crop from Brazil is causing experts to consider that there will be a slowing in demand for U.S. soybeans. On January 4th soybean futures fell to $13.56 on the Chicago Board of Trade – the lowest point since June 19, 2012.
