Two Rivers Water & Farming Co. based in the Southwest U.S. integrates fruit and vegetable farming with wholesale water distribution through collaborative rotational farm fallowing agreements between farmers and municipalities. Portions of farms are temporarily fallowed in a rotation allowing the soil to regenerate and making a portion of irrigation water available for urban use until the land is put back into production capturing the highest value of both food and water. Two Rivers announced that it achieved a131% increase year over year in the nine months ending September 2013 and a strengthening of its financial position through the elimination of short term debt. Revenues have doubled improving its gross margins by 138% from the same period in 2012.
