U.S. wine export set a new record in 2012 with volume shipments of 424.6 million liters or 112.2 million cases with a value of $1.43 billion. Ninety percent of all U.S. exports are from California. The EU remains the top market for U.S. wines at 34% of all sales and Canada remains the second largest market where sales reached $434 million – up 14%. Sales in China reached $74 million in 2012 – up 18% from 2011. South Korea sales were up 26% and Vietnam sales were up 22%.
