UK’s CDC Follows Rabo Investment With $25 Million Investment Into Pristine Logistics

The UK’s development finance institution, CDC, is investing US$25 million into Pristine Logistics and InfraProjects Pvt Ltd. Pristine Logistics is constructing and operating greenfield rail terminals across northern, central, and regions of eastern India, and plans to establish a food park in Bihar, India for handling and processing agricultural goods, bringing modern advances to the regional agricultural industry. This investment follows quickly on the heels of the CDC’s US$30 million allocation to the Rabo Equity India Agri Business fund in December 2014. India’s ag sector has faced challenges in attracting long-term private capital in large part due to the lack of infrastructure. This investment will help in laying a foundation for wider, future economic growth in India’s agribusiness and food industries.
