Ukrainian company Zernoprodukt MHP is currently building the country’s largest poultry farm – Vinnitsa Broiler with an annual capacity of 400,000 tons. The full project is expected to be completed in 2015. For the first half of 2013, Ukraine produced 571,000 tons of poultry meat – up 14.1% year on year, and by 2014 Ukraine is expected to be in the top ten poultry producing countries in the world. As of July 1, 2013 poultry stock in Ukraine is up 6% year on year reaching a record 264 million head and experts estimate that Ukrainian poultry exports will reach 120,000 tons or 1.2% of world exports. The increased competitiveness of the Ukrainian poultry sector should enable Ukraine to expand its markets after the country signs the Association Agreement and establishing a Free Trade Zone with the EU in late November.
