Arla Officially Opens World’s Largest Liquid Milk Plant

Arla has officially opened its £150 million milk processing plant in Aylesbury, England which is reported to be the world’s largest and most advanced milk plant in the world.  The facility which began operations in November 2013, has the capacity to process 1.5 million bottles per day, or 240,000 liters of milk per hour supplied by 900 dairy farmers, and once at full capacity the plants 16 silos will be able to hold 4.8 million liters of milk. The plant marks the single largest investment for the co-op and currently has a £27 million UK turnover.
