Beloorbayir Biotech Ltd, a leading Indian manufacturer of food and dietary supplements, botanical extracts, and bulk nutraceuticals announced the completion of the first round of investment of Rs 75 crore (US$12.36 million) by India Agri Business Fund Ltd – Asia’s first private equity fund focused on the Indian food and agribusiness sectors. The investment will enable Beloorbayir to expand its manufacturing capacities in four of its eight plants and will be used to strengthen its marketing activities in global regulated markets. In the post-funding phase, Beloorbayir is considering opening a new research and development facility in the U.S.
