In an agreement that will see Chinese investment in Ukrainian agriculture reach more than $2.6 billion, Ukrainian State Food & Grain Crop. and China’s Xinjiang Production & Construction Corp. have signed a memorandum of cooperation in support of priority agricultural projects. Xinjiang Corp. cultivates approximately 2 million hectares of land to grow wheat, corn, soybeans, cotton and other crops. The funds and technological support from China will help ensure the production of high quality food, create jobs and increase the export potential of the Ukrainian agriculture sector.
