Fonterra announced the next step the company is taking to become a more integrated dairy business in China and to meet the company’s goal of producing 1 billion liters of milk in-country per year by 2020. The second farming hub will include five 3,000-cow farms which will be in production by the second half of 2014. After becoming fully operational, Fonterra’s two hubs will produce 300 million liters of milk per year combined.
