A number of new food-related deals and public offerings have been occurring demonstrating how the often overlook investment sector is moving.  The following article discusses recent deals such as Campbell Soup Co. announcing exclusive negotiations with CVC Capital Partners Inc. on the sale of European brands of soups, sauces and meals.  Danone SA has agreed to buy Yo Crunch.  Equistone Partners Europe emerged as the frontrunner to buy Whitworths – one of the UK’s oldest snack manufacturers for £100 million.  Roark Capital Group is planning an initial public offering of Focus Brands Inc. which owns Cinnabon and Moe’s Southwest Grill, and Sun Capital Partners and Main Street Capital Holdings sold Oregon-based Harris Soup to Joshua Green Corp.
