Global alternative investment manager Investcorp announced that it and other related Investcorp entities acquired a significant minority stake in Turkey’s leading producer of fresh cut and packaged red meat products – Namet Gida Sanayi ve Ticareti A.S. (Namet). Namet produces certified Halal pastrami, salami, sausages, smoked meats, and frozen and ready to eat burgers which it markets to hotels, restaurants, caterers and retail establishments. The Kayar family who acquired Namet in 2005 will retain its majority interest.
