Le May-Led Ag Startup Nabs $40 Million

Kansas City-based FarmLink LLC has closed on $40 million of Series B financing.  Open Air Equity Partners has led the round.  Other investors include Thorndale Farm LLC, Don Walsworth, John Rose, and Early Investment.   FarmLink developed a tool called ‘TrueHarvest’ that analyses data from millions of ‘micro fields’ of 150 square feet that measures weather, soil and topography that can identify the possible added, unseen profitability of crop production in the U.S. Plains. From this data FarmLink’s scientists have been able to chart performance ranges by region for wheat, soybeans and corn.  These performance ranges together with data on current crop market values is helping farmers make better investment decisions and increase revenues.
