Russia Joins Coalition to Conquer Global Grain Market

Russia, Ukraine, and Kazakhstan had formed a grain-pool to jointly promote their grain on the global market.  The partnership is expected to be completed within six months.  By joining together, the three countries will control over 20% of the world’s grain giving it leverage to compete with the U.S. and overtake smaller suppliers such as Argentina, Brazil and Australia.  The three countries anticipate increasing grain production in 10-15 years to total 225-250 million tons.  In the future a common policy of grain exports will be established for the three countries which will have an export potential of 70 million tons.
