Atlanta-based Timbervest announced the sale of 10,400 acres of timberland assets from its Timbervest Partners I Fund through three sales totaling more than $14.2 million. The transactions include the sale of 6,710 acres in Florida to an institutional, environmentally focused investment vehicle, the sale of 2,416 acres in South Carolina to a timberland investment group, and 1,243 acres in Vermont as a long-term investment to a high net worth individual. Timbervest was founded in 1995 and manages more than 600,000 acres of timberland and related assets located in the Northeast, Southeast, Appalachia, West Gulf, and Pacific Northwest regions of the U.S. with a market value of $1.4 billion. Following the three sales, the $230 million Timbervest Partners I Fund will continue to own and manage timberland properties across the U.S.
